Man United star Leny Yoro has bought Mason Greenwood’s £2 million home, which has a separate bar and cinema room

Manchester United’s wonder kid, Leny Yoro, has secured a stunning new residence—a £2 million mansion that was once home to Mason Greenwood. The £52 million signing is set to rent the six-bedroom, six-bath property for £14,000 a month.

The Bowdon, Cheshire home features an open-plan kitchen, three reception rooms, a cinema room, and a bar. For security, it is equipped with electric gates, monitored CCTV, and an intruder alarm. Additionally, the property includes separate au pair accommodations and a double garage with a gym.

Included in the rental agreement are a gardener, all utility bills, and a full Sky TV package, ensuring Yoro won’t miss any Premier League action. Advertisements for the property describe the interior as “very tasteful, with contemporary furniture and immaculate decoration.”

Yoro, who joined United from Lille earlier this month, has already made a positive impression on fans after his debut in a 2-0 victory over Rangers. United worked hard to sign the French defender, fending off interest from Real Madrid. Former centre-back Rio Ferdinand even played a role in the transfer, sending Yoro a congratulatory video message that he appreciated.

The young centre-back signed a five-year deal worth around £144,000 a week and has been promised regular game time at Old Trafford, which will aid in his development. After making 32 appearances for Lille last season, he may partner with Argentinian defender Lisandro Martinez.

Yoro will hope his new home brings him better luck than Greenwood’s. Greenwood rented the Bowdon property after breaking into United’s first team but left amid controversy. He was arrested in January 2022 on allegations of attempted rape and assault, though all charges were later dropped. Following an internal review, United decided he should not return to the club, leading to his loan to Getafe and eventual sale to Marseille for £27 million.
