Mason Mount, a Chelsea and England footballer, recently launched his own Matchesfashion Shop, featuring clothes. 

Mount’s talent on the field is well-known and admired, and his off-the-field style is now highlighted in an edit highlighting some of his best pieces from the high-end online store.

Mount’s favorite pieces include patterned Bode shirts, Visvim shoes, JW Anderson pleated trousers, and a S.S. Daley pullover. These clothes update classic silhouettes with new structure and pattern.

The collection includes a photo session and an interview with the football player, who addresses his personal life and sporting goals. Mount views winning the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021 a “so special and meaningful experience” for him. “I didn’t clean the boots after the game; I kept them.”

Mount’s trainer collection consists of approximately 100 pairs, each of which represents something meaningful to him. These are among the rarest I own. I bought two from a sneaker shop in New York several years ago. I haven’t worn these in a long, but I will definitely keep them.

Mount also analyzes proportion and fit while purchasing apparel in other places, saying how his choices change over time to meet his body shape. I used to be significantly smaller than I am today. I used to wear tight jeans or tracksuits, but as I’ve become older and more fashion-conscious, I’ve started dressing more freely. 

It takes some time to adjust to wearing loose garments, but I’ve grown to appreciate them over time. Mount now has a Champions League medal and an excellent Matches fashion collection.
