Arnold Schwarzenegger and his son Joseph Baena were spotted spending quality time in Los Angeles this week.

The 73-year-old former California governor and his 23-year-old son were seen riding their bikes to stay fit.

Joseph, who has followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming a bodybuilder, showed off his sculpted abs as he wiped sweat from his face with the hem of his shirt.

The dynamic duo flaunted their musclebound arms in t-shirts as they rode around Santa Monica in the sunshine.

A few months ago, Joseph shared a lovely selfie of his father assisting him with his outside gym workout.

‘You have to go all out with no cheating when you train with him, so you know I’m going to be suffering tomorrow,’ Joseph joked in the caption.

Before becoming a movie celebrity and subsequently a politician, Arnie was a competitive bodybuilder in his own country, earning him the nickname “the Austrian Oak”.

Exercise: Joseph, who has followed in his father's footsteps to become a bodybuilder, bared his sculpted abs as he wiped the sweat off his face with the hem of his shirt

Joseph, a bodybuilder like his father, showed off his muscular abs while wiping sweat from his face with his shirt’s hem.

He won the youngest ever winner of the bodybuilding title Mr. Olympia in 1970, at the age of 23, although he departed from the sport ten years later.

Arnie used steroids lawfully as a bodybuilder and later revealed his experience to ABC News while serving as Governor of California.

While he did not recommend steroids for modern use, he stated, ‘I have no regrets about it since at the time, it was something new that came on the market, and we went to the doctor and did it under doctors’ supervision.’

He explained: “We were experimenting with it.” It was something new. So you can’t go back in time and say, “Now I would change my mind on this.”

Arnie and his estranged wife Maria Shriver have four children: Katherine (31) Christina (29), Patrick (27), and Christopher (23).

Maria left Arnold a decade earlier after discovering that he had fathered Joseph with the family’s housekeeper, Mildred Baena.

Although they have been separated since 2011, and he is currently seeing blonde physical therapist Heather Milligan, 46, their divorce has not been formalized.

Joseph has recently taken his first acting part, in a sci-fi comedy called The Chariot, mirroring Arnold’s career progression.

'You have to go all out': A couple of months ago Joseph posted a heartwarming selfie of his father helping him with his training at an outdoor gym setting

Joseph recently shared a sweet selfie of his father assisting him with outdoor gym training, emphasizing the importance of going all out.

“I’m following in my father’s footsteps because I’m doing my own thing,” Joseph told DailyMailTV in a recent exclusive interview.

‘I am pursuing acting because I wish to do so. So the only pressure comes from myself,” the aspiring actor explained.

His goal is to ‘simply focus on myself’ and ‘drown’ off comparisons to Arnie, despite the fact that the Terminator star is a ‘inspiration’ to him.

Joseph announced on his Instagram profile at the beginning of last month that he is now a realtor in addition to his other jobs.
