Hollywood legend Steven Spielberg and wife Kate Capshaw take a $250 million yacht to the Italian Riviera

On Sunday, Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw enjoyed an Italian holiday to Portofino, looking elegant.

The Hollywood movie director, 76, smiled as he arrived at the gorgeous town, holding hands with his wife, 69.

Steven looked dapper with a cream waistcoat worn over a white button-up shirt with a flowery pattern.

He also sported a pair of white trousers and matching trainers, while shielding from the sun under a white fedora and brown sunglasses.

Kate looked sophisticated by his side, dressed in a black cutaway blouse with a tie at the front.

The 76-year-old Hollywood movie director and his wife, 69, arrived at the lovely village holding hands and beaming.

She paired it with white pants fastened with a black tie belt and black strappy shoes.

The retired actress wore a white handbag and a gold pendant necklace, with her blonde hair in two bunches.

Kate complemented her spouse by hiding behind a matching cream hat and sunglasses.

Amy Sherald, an American painter and friend, joined the married couple on their holiday.

Amy looked casual in blue trousers and a white blouse, with a black leather handbag and white trainers.

She also wore gold hoop earrings, a matching necklace, and aviator sunglasses, with a classic red lip as a splash of colour.

Steven and Kate have been married for nearly 30 years. They met when Steven cast her as female lead Willie Scott in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in 1984.

They tied the knot in October 1991 and share five children together, Sasha Rebecca, Sawyer Avery, Destry Allyn and adopted children Theo and Mikaela George.

The couple has stepchildren from previous marriages, Jessica Brooke Capshaw and Max Samuel Spielberg.

Steven was previously married to actress Amy Irving from 1985 to 1989, while Kate was married to marketing manager Robert Capshaw between 1976 and 1980.

Steven claimed earlier this year that he did not regret declining the offer to direct the first Harry Potter film in 2001 since it allowed him to watch his children grow up.

The Oscar winner chose to spend time with his family over making Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the first film in the wizarding franchise based on J.K. Rowling’s novels.

In an interview with Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli for Reliance Entertainment, Steven stated, “There were several films I chose not to make.”

‘I chose to turn down the first Harry Potter to spend the next year and a half with my family, watching my little children grow up.’

He added: ‘So I’d sacrificed a great franchise, which today looking back I’m very happy to have done, to be with my family.

‘Kate and I formed a family and began having children. The decision I had to make in accepting a job that would take me to another nation for four to five months, where I would not see my family every day.
