Pacino’s House of Gucci co-stars, Lady Gaga and Jared Leto, have enthused about the honor of working with him.
‘On the first day of set, he didn’t recognize me, so I approached him and said, you know, “Hello,”‘ Leto explained. ‘He simply kind of shrugged me off. He assumed I was simply an Italian crazy attempting to talk to him or obtain his autograph.
‘I approached him two or three times before someone whispered, “That’s Paolo, that’s Jared under there.” And he said, “My son, my son,” and then dropped on the floor.
Leto said Pacino ‘was just astounded,’ adding, ‘Having that happen with one of the world’s greatest actors was a beautiful gift and gave me the faith that if Al can believe in this guy, then we all can.’
