And, while the celebrated actor is most known for his award-winning films and spaghetti Westerns, his colorful love life frequently overshadowed his tremendous achievements in the film industry.

The Hollywood great had several failed marriages, endured countless charges of infidelity, and fathered eight children with six different women throughout the years.

But despite being embroiled in scandal after scandal and earning a fierce reputation as a womanizer, it’s been said that Clint was an extremely dedicated father who worked tirelessly to protect each of his children and give them as normal of a childhood as possible.

He reared his children on a ranch in Carmel, California, away from the Hollywood spotlight and surrounded by environment and wildlife.

One of his sons, Scott, famously said of his childhood, “There were no handouts. It was not like that.

‘It was like, “Get a job.” If you want something, go find a job and build a career for yourself.

His daughter Morgan has also stated, “I had an average American childhood for the most part.”

‘I believe a large part of that was due to growing up in a rural town away from the spotlight.

Clint did his best to keep his children out of the public glare when they were young, but he did the reverse as they grew older.

In reality, he offered practically all of his children, except for his eldest daughter, Laurie Murray, who was placed up for adoption and didn’t know the actor was her father until decades later, roles in his movies when they were ready to start their careers.

And, while he may have helped them get their foot in the door, the majority of them never made it into the industry and left to explore other opportunities.
