NEW Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim is under intense scrutiny, but he has kept Manchester consumers in the dark.
Incredibly, the Portuguese manager went unobserved as he wandered through the bustling town center.
He is set to be publicly presented next week if his work permit goes through successfully.
Despite Amorim’s distinctive beard, passersby were unconcerned as he went along the street, smiling.
His outfit was startling enough: a white top with a hoodie contrasting starkly with a black puffer jacket.
The 14-cap former midfielder was accompanied by a small entourage, all dressed similarly casually.
In fact, based on the group’s casual demeanor, you’d never guess Amorim is taking on one of football’s most renowned and demanding positions.
He will not be a mystery shopper in the transfer market, as United’s global prominence means he will struggle to find any deals.
And he’ll quickly become one of the most recognizable figures in the country.

So it’s no surprise he seemed to enjoy his momentary obscurity on a bustling Manchester street.
Amorim replaces the ousted Erik ten Hag, who was charged by the club’s minority owner Jim Ratcliffe with resurrecting Sir Alex Ferguson’s glory days from 1986 to 2013.
RUBEN AMORIM has replied to reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.
The 39-year-old Sporting Lisbon coach is reportedly close to signing an £8 million deal to succeed Erik ten Hag.
Just hours after Ten Hag’s dismissal on Monday morning, it was revealed that Manchester United executives were in negotiations with Amorim as they focused on the Sporting manager.
When questioned by the media about the negotiations, the former Braga coach remained tight-lipped.
He replied, “I was already expecting this question [about Manchester United].”
“Obviously, I’m not going to talk about the future; otherwise, I’ll always have to comment.
“I’m very proud to be Sporting coach, that’s all.”
He’s scheduled to oversee training for the first time next week, assuming all appropriate documentation is completed.
Amorim is currently based at the five-star Lowry Hotel near Old Trafford, and he is eager to discuss his ideas with his new players following the international break.
He has already stated that he wants his players to embark on a morale-boosting stadium tour in order to “put strength back into the team”.
Then come his first two games, at Ipswich in the Premier League and at home to Bodo-Glimt in the Europa League.
By then, Amorim will have progressed from “Man who?” to the guy who cannot afford to fail – or he will become the 10th permanent or temporary manager to leave Old Trafford since Ferguson’s retirement.
