Megan Fox and Bruce Willis appear in first stills for thriller Midnight In The Switchgrass… which costars her beau Machine Gun Kelly

The first movie stills for the upcoming crime thriller Midnight in the Switchgrass, starring Bruce Willis and Megan Fox, were unveiled on Friday.

In the eerie crime movie, the 66-year-old action star and the 34-year-old Transformers actress play FBI agents who stumble across a serial killer’s trail.

Notably, Megan’s real-life boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly, whom she initially met on the set of the movie in March 2020, also appears in the upcoming movie.

First look: The first stills from the new crime thriller Midnight in the Switchgrass, which was released on Friday, featured Bruce Willis, 66, and Megan Fox, 34.

Bruce and Megan appear solemn in the new stills, which feature them dressed simply.

In a charcoal suit, the Die Hard star resembled a movie investigator, while she sports a gray and black varsity-style jacket, black shirt, and matching jeans.

In a more subdued photo from the movie, Megan, who plays Bruce’s partner, sits down with him for coffee.

While investigating a Texas sex trafficking organization, Karl Helter (played by Willis) and Rebecca Lombardi (played by Fox), discover that their inquiry crosses paths with the real-life Trail of the Truck Stop Killer, an infamous serial killer from Texas.

They join forces with Texas Ranger Byron Crawford (Emile Hirsch from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), who has been pursuing the serial killer for years, to find him.

However, when the killer kidnaps Fox’s agent, Willis and Hirsch’s characters are obliged to intensify their investigation because they have little time to find her alive.

Despite being based on the real-life Truck Stop Killer Robert Ben Rhoades, the movie has little to do with the case, and Rhoades never kidnapped an FBI agent.

Rhoades may have killed over fifty women during his active years, but he was convicted of killing three and is currently serving a life term without the possibility of release.

The movie also stars Jackie Cruz from Orange Is The New Black and Lukas Haas.

Megan’s boyfriend, 31-year-old rapper and rocker Machine Gun Kelly, who is credited in the movie by his given name, Colson Baker, was not shown in the first set of stills.

Filming for Midnight In The Switchgrass started in Puerto Rico in March 2020, where the pair first met. However, the coronavirus epidemic halted shooting a week later.

To commemorate the return to production four months after it had been put on hold, Emile posted a picture of some of the main cast—minus Bruce—to his Instagram in June 2020.

In order to resume filming Midnight in the Switchgrass in the breathtaking Puerto Rico, the group is placed under quarantine together four months later, he writes.

Filmmaker Randall Emmett and his fiancée, Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent, were photographed beside MGK, who had his arms around Megan.

In a statement to People, Emmett stated, “I am so fortunate to make my directorial debut with Midnight In The Swithgrass, and to work with such an extraordinary cast and crew.” When you combine a remarkable tale of crime, treachery, and suspense with actors like Bruce Willis, Emile Hirsh, and Megan Fox, you can’t go wrong. We are eager to share it with everyone.

In July, Midnight In The Switchgrass will be released to the general public.
