Manchester City’s Phil Foden has seen his net worth skyrocket thanks to his performances on the pitch.

Foden has been a part of the City family since he was just four years old, climbing up through the ranks and signing his first professional contract in 2016.

In 2017, he transitioned from the Under-18s squad to the first team and has since made a staggering 312 appearances, scoring 108 goals for the Premier League champions. In 2022, he committed to a lucrative five-year deal worth $72 million (£56m), keeping him at the club until the summer of 2027.

TransferMarkt currently values the young prodigy at a whopping €150m (£126m) as he continues to excel for his club and is now a regular for England, having started every game so far at Euro 2024. Capology also reports that Foden earns a staggering £225,000-per-week, totalling £11.7m annually.

In 2023, his net worth was estimated to be around £10m, but it is believed to have more than doubled over the past year to approximately £25m, reports the Mirror.

Despite being only 24 years old, Foden has already secured multiple titles with City, including six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, two Community Shields and the prestigious Champions League. The gifted attacking midfielder has also won the UEFA Super Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup and helped the England Under-17s squad secure the World Cup.

Despite his impressive net worth and undeniable talent for both City and England, Foden maintains a rather private family life. He shares three children with his long-term girlfriend Rebecca Cooke.

Foden and Cooke, 23, have a daughter and a son together, with their third child born during the ongoing Euros tournament. He even left the England camp ahead of their match against Slovakia to be present for the birth of his third child, before returning to Germany to continue with England’s campaign.

It is reported that the couple met at a party during their teenage years and developed a relationship. They eventually settled down in Prestbury to start a family.

While Cooke is often seen supporting her boyfriend from the stands, usually accompanied by their children, she prefers to keep her personal life private and seldom appears on social media with the football star.

Foden spoke about the joys of fatherhood when he and Cooke welcomed their first child. Speaking to the Manchester City website, he described the birth of his son Ronnie as a “life-changing” moment.

Foden shared: “I was there for the birth. I walked out of the room, gave it a little tear and then went back in like nothing happened. I’m not one for crying in front of people. I like to be on my own, but I was there in the room, watched it happen and it was a special moment.”

Foden has opened up about the challenges of balancing fatherhood with his football career. He shared: “Your life changes. There’s no free time, which is probably why I’ve been struggling to fish as much. I’ve enjoyed every moment of it. He’s been quite well behaved to be honest. He’s not been making it hard for me, which is good.”

Foden acknowledges that while he relishes being a dad and having happy, healthy kids, his commitment to the game means missing out on key moments in their lives.

Reflecting on how fatherhood has altered his perspective, the 24-year-old said: “If you have a bad game or a bad session, you’re disappointed, but now I think about the bigger picture.

“I go home and see him smiling, so there’s more important things than worrying about one bad session. You look at things in a different way when you’ve got a kid. Honestly, I’m really enjoying it, but I find it quite difficult, always having away games and being away from him. He’s one now, so he’s missing me a bit.”

Foden spoke further about the milestones he’s missed due to his commitments, adding: “There are things you miss when you’re not there because you’ve got an away game. I was there when he started crawling, but I think I was in London when he started to walk. Now he’s getting about and walking everywhere, so you have to have eyes in the back of your head or he starts running off.

“It’s unfortunate to miss things like that but it’s a sacrifice that he’ll appreciate when he’s older.”

Foden’s eldest son, Ronnie, now five years old, is often seen on the pitch post-match, celebrating with his parents and Foden’s team-mates. His middle child, True, who is around three years old, also often accompanies her father.

Despite their young age, both Foden and Cooke have a well-established family and are adjusting to the joys of having three young children. Foden continues to shine both on and off the pitch, hoping to bring an international trophy home to his family after Euro 2024 concludes this weekend.

Foden will be on hand to perform for England as they face the Netherlands in the semi-finals of the Euros tonight (Wednesday, July 10) at 8pm.
