Sergio Aguero welcomes daughter

Aguero posted a photo of his newborn daughter’s tiny hand holding her parents’ on his personal page yesterday and wrote: “September 13, 2024. Welcome Olivia. Mom and Dad have no words to describe how happy we are.” In the comments section, relatives and friends sent their congratulations to the couple. Lionel Messi’s wife Antonela – Aguero’s close friend – also wrote her congratulations with heart symbols.

The baby is the former Argentina striker’s first child with Sofia, but his second. Aguero and his ex-wife Giannina Maradona – daughter of the late legend Diego Maradona – have a teenage son, Benjamin. Aguero’s eldest son posted a picture of his dad holding his newborn sister on his Instagram Story, but hid her face with a heart emoji.

Previously, on September 5, the girlfriend of the former Man City star shared a series of photos of her preparing for childbirth. On September 10, Sofia posted a photo of her practicing yoga at their home in Miami with a caption expressing her emotions as the day of welcoming her child approaches. The beauty born in 1996 said that being a mother is her lifelong dream.

Aguero and Sofia announced they were expecting their first child in March. The couple shared a photo of their hands clasped together along with a series of ultrasound photos: “Great excitement, we are waiting for you baby girl,” the Argentine star and the model 8 years her junior wrote.

Sergio Aguero was born in 1988, is a famous name in Argentine and world football. He is considered a Man City legend after 10 years with the English team and won 5 Premier League titles before moving to Barca in 2021. However, just a few months after joining the new team, Aguero was forced to retire due to an irregular heartbeat. In the Argentine team, Aguero won the U20 World Cup twice, the 2008 Olympic men’s football gold medal, and won the 2021 Copa America.
