Kylian Mbappe has taken legal action against PSG, determined to demand a substantial salary from his former club

On September 11, Kylian Mbappé and PSG are scheduled to meet before the legal commission of the French Football Federation (LFP) in order to settle a €55 million financial dispute.

As both sides are ready to face off in court, the legal dispute between Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has reached a tense stage. Reliable sources including L’Equipe, Le Parisien, and RMC Sport claim that the 25-year-old player and his previous team will meet with the LFP’s legal commission on September 11 for a crucial meeting.

Mbappé believes PSG owes him €55 million, which is at the centre of this argument. This sum comprises a portion of his signing bonus, a “morality bonus,” and the final three months of his salary at the club. This predicament is a result of the tense dynamics that existed between the two parties during Mbappé’s last season in Paris, when arguments over a contract extension and the direction of the team grew more heated.

After spending seven years at PSG, Mbappé left the team to join Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer. Now, he’s taking extreme measures to get the money he feels he’s due. Shortly after departing the club in the middle of June, he formally notified PSG of this situation. The French player took matters further, though, and contacted both UEFA and the LFP’s legal authority after his previous squad failed to respond.

PSG specifically faces a transfer ban should it be discovered that

it has neglected to pay player salaries. More seriously, the Paris team may forfeit its UEFA club licence, which is a need to compete in European competitions. The club must not owe any players any unpaid salaries as a requirement for receiving this licence.

Regarding Mbappé, he is obviously committed to seeing this lawsuit through to the very conclusion, despite having joined Real Madrid. This emphasises how important the €55 million is to the footballer and how determined he is to defend his legal rights.

It is anticipated that the forthcoming summit on September 11 will be a significant milestone in settling the cоnflict. However, it is very probable that the case will continue to garner media attention and the curiosity of football fans worldwide given the enormous funds involved and the reputations of the parties.
