The 57-year-old will manage one of the teams in a farewell game for two of his former teammates, Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski.
Throughout the training, Klopp was upbeat, conversing with the German giants’ head coach, Nuri Sahin, a former midfielder.
Following his nine-year career in Merseyside, Klopp made vague comments about leaving managing entirely. However, his two former players secured him the interim position.
Piszczek and Blaszczykowski both played a big role in Klopp’s success with the German national team, appearing on his 2011 and 2012 Bundesliga title teams.
Furthermore, they were instrumental in propelling Klopp’s club to the 2013 Champions League final, where they were defeated by rivals Bayern Munich.
They only planned to have one manager monitor the game and be present in the dugout for their testimonial.

As a result, they phoned Klopp and questioned about his role in the exhilarating contest.
Dortmund confirmed Klopp’s role as the game’s coach with a social media video post.
Piszczek told Blaszczykowski in a hilarious video that “we need a coach, and I have an idea, we’ll call the retired coach.”
Then, in sunglasses, Klopp entered the scene and stated, “You’ve finally reached your farewell game.”
God, I am so sorry. And before you play, you need practise. Are you really so dumb?
Regarding his role in the game and the team he ought to lead, Klopp declared, “I couldn’t care less [about which team I manage].”
I’m not concerned about it at all.” I approach it as I used to, planning ahead five minutes in advance.
Is everyone in the game? If I wasn’t coming, I would still purchase a ticket!
