As West Ham’s season approaches its final stretch, talisman Declan Rice has posed for the cover story of a brand-new magazine to commemorate the milestone.
Before the German Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt and the West Ham player square off in the Europa League semifinal, Circle Zero Eight has profiled the player.
Rice will lead the Hammers in Germany the following week for the opening leg, which takes place at the London stadium on Thursday night. On May 18, the victor will face either Rangers or RB Leipzig of Germany.
For his first editorial cover story, Rice posed for the multimedia publication, which was started by Elgar Johnson, a former British GQ Style deputy editor and fashion director.
The 23-year-old England player, who was shot by Maxwell Tomlinson and styled by Johnson, was seen sporting Prada.
In their second edition, Circle Zero Eight featured model and up-and-coming British athlete Annie Jill Tagoe, and in their third edition, nine-time Olympic gold medallist Carl Lewis.
Rice’s first magazine cover appears against a backdrop of mounting rumours about his West Ham United future.
West Ham was keen to hold onto Rice this summer, according to Sportsmail, but the publication also disclosed that the team was getting ready to trade him in a year.
After Rice rejected a third contract offer from the Hammers, Manchester City and Manchester United expressed interest in signing him.
Rice has more than two years left on his contract, therefore West Ham is apparently looking to sell him for at least £150 million in 2023 following the World Cup in Qatar.
