Liverpool forward Mo Salah, with Barcelona great Lionel Messi, is endorsing Pepsi in a new television commercial.
Some of the world’s finest football players have previously promoted Pepsi, including David Beckham, Roberto Carlos, and Carli Lloyd.
Although Salah has been a Pepsi brand ambassador since 2016, his promotion to co-star in a TV commercial reflects his outstanding form since joining Liverpool, where he has scored 64 goals in 86 games.

The commercial, which Salah posted on Twitter, has a bleak, sandy background.
Salah and Messi, two football players, fight for the last Pepsi can in a gas station refrigerator.
On Monday night, the 30-second commercial was tweeted by Egypt’s international player Salah, along with the hashtag #FORTHELOVEOFIT.
At the beginning of the film, Messi and Salah arrive at a gas station in the middle of a sandy environment with only one can of Pepsi left in the refrigerator.
The two then begin challenging each other in a variety of actions before tossing a handful of footballs from a display unit to see who deserves the can.
Following a successful match in which they kicked balls at a sign, into an out-of-service automobile, and through moving tires, Messi and Salah are surprised when a third person appears unexpectedly to complete the last Pepsi.
Salah shrugs and smiles as the two spot a Pepsi truck and begin pursuing it with their arms waving, as Messi shakes his head at the development.

When someone else finishes the last can of Pepsi, Salah turns to face Messi, grins, and shrugs.
As the commercial concludes, Salah and Messi are seen rushing after a Pepsi truck and waving their arms.
