After being selected as the 2024 Germany Footballer of the Year, Toni Kroos has been given his prize. Months have passed since Kroos declared his retirement from football.

“The match versus Spain seems like it was only a few days ago. After receiving the honour, Kroos remarked, “I think we accomplished something in the last three months that was lacking in the previous few years, namely having a team that inspires the fans.”

“A fresh structure has an opportunity because a few guys who shaped the team are no longer there. I merely ask that people stand behind and support the national team.

“I know the boys who are both players and guys on the national team. I believe that they should receive support from others.

The former midfielder continues, “We saw at the Euros that it’s easier for the players when the country is behind them than when there are doubts.”
