Bayern Munich’s star players include Thomas Müller, Manuel Neuer, İlkay Gündoğan, and Toni Kroos. These are the names of four very gifted players who will no longer be available for Germany after EURO 2024. You could be excused for thinking that Germany would struggle following the loss of such crucial players, but Julian Nagelsmann’s side put any fears to rest with a convincing 5-0 victory over Hungary. The only question left is which players stood out from the crowd. Có thể là hình ảnh về 5 người, mọi người đang chơi bóng đá, mọi người đang chơi bóng bầu dục và văn bản
Jersey Swap: Dominik Szoboszlai
Hungary never appeared like it was going to threaten Germany, but there were a few Hungarian players who put in decent performances. Rolland Sallai appeared to be one of the away team’s most potential scorers, as he held up the ball well and created a few chances for himself and his teammates, but it was his captain Dominik Szoboszlai who stood out the most. Szoboszlai worked hard, recording nine recoveries and eight passes into the final third, the second most of any player on the pitch in those areas (FotMob).Có thể là hình ảnh về 1 người, đang chơi bóng bầu dục, đang chơi bóng đá và văn bản

Der Kaiser: Joshua Kimmich
Germany’s defence didn’t have much to do on the night, but Kimmich impressed on the ball in his first encounter as Germany’s starting captain. Kimmich maintained a 92% pass completion rate (FotMob) while working well with his teammates in the German assault. Image
Fußballgott: Pascal Groß
The question of who might replace Toni Kroos has been answered (for this match at least), with Pascal Groß putting up an outstanding performance as Germany’s metronome in the base of midfield. Groß completed 91% of his passes (FotMob), including a beautiful ball over the top of the Hungarian backline for Florian Wirtz to collect in the buildup to Germany’s first goal, as well as a cross onto the head of Kai Havertz, who found the underside of the crossbar but missed the shot. Image
Der Bomber: Kai Havertz.
Kai Havertz was not only near to glory after his header attempt from the aforementioned Pascal Groß pass, but he also hit the woodwork again, this time with a volley in the second half. Havertz was not only a scoring threat, but he also worked well with colleagues Wirtz and Jamal Musiala throughout the evening. Havertz eventually received his reward, winning and converting a penalty to score Germany’s fifth goal in the 81st minute of the game.
Match Meisters: Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala.
Musiala and Wirtz are fantastic talents who are no longer just the future of German football, but also the present. The two combined on multiple occasions, each aiding the other for a goal apiece, with Musiala adding two more assists for a total of six goal contributions between the two. While Musiala’s hat trick of assists may appear to be a sufficient cause for him to win the award, Wirtz was frequently involved in the same attacking plays and made just as meaningful contributions; it just so happened that Musiala had more assists than Wirtz. Each player demonstrated exceptional dribbling and passing abilities. Other countries should beware, because these two are capable of dominating any opposition.
