According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal is considering submitting a surprise bid for Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, a winger.
Rumours surfaced this summer that the forward might depart Old Trafford. According to reports, a signing bonus of up to £70 million might be sufficient.
Rashford is reportedly favoured to sign with Paris Saint-Germain, but Mikel Arteta might want to depart and sign the Englishman before his former team does.
Rashford is a fantastic asset to the Arsenal squad.
On the left side of the field, nobody has been able to establish a reliable position.
Arsenal will want to bolster their squad even more in the upcoming season in order to contend for the major prizes, since they are still very much in the running for the Premier League title this year.
The Gunners have unable to identify a clear-cut left winger, despite the excellent play of Martin Odegaard in the midfield and Bukayo Saka on Arteta’s right side.
So far, both Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli’s efforts have gone well. He might think that neither is good enough to be frequent starters at Emirates, though.
Rashford has already shown his skills for both Manchester United and England, and Jermaine Pennant called him “world-class” on talkSPORT earlier this season. He could be a great addition to the Londoners in a new setting.
It is said that Rashford is unhappy at Old Trafford.
This season, the winger’s play has stayed the same.
United named the 26-year-old Player of the Season last year when he led the Red Devils to third place, but he hasn’t gotten better.
Rashford got the award because he scored 30 goals and set up 10 others in 56 games across all competitions, while this season he only scored 13 goals in 40 games.
There have been rumors that the former youth player is unhappy with the club these days, which could meаn that he needs to move on to find his spark again.
United is reportedly willing to listen to offers for most of their players this summer, including Rashford. Erik Ten Hag is getting ready to start over after the transfer window closes.
PSG will give Arsenal a lot of trouble.
The people of Paris want a left-winger.
But teams like PSG will be very keen to sign Rashford, making it very tough for Arsenal to get him.
In recent weeks, Luis Enrique’s team has been linked to the winger. Their star player Kylian Mbappe is set to leave, most likely to Real Madrid, leaving a spot open in their front three.
Bradley Barcola plays on the left wing for Paris right now, but the United player should have no trouble becoming a starting.
Ousmane Dembele, Randal Kolo Muani, and Goncalo Ramos are Enrique’s top picks. Each of them can be very bad on their day.
Rashford doesn’t seem happy with the Red Devils, so a move to a different team, maybe even one abroad, could be just what he needs to get back to the top of his game as he starts important years in his career.
