Federico Chiesa is set to have a medical on Merseyside after Liverpool and Juventus reached an agreement that may be worth £12.5 million.
According to the PA news agency, the Reds have agreed to pay the Serie A club an initial £10 million for the 26-year-old Italian forward, with the remaining £2.5 million contingent on the team’s success during his time at Anfield.
Chiesa, who was linked with Spanish giants Barcelona and a move to Saudi Arabia this summer, will now undergo medical tests before making the jump.

Liverpool expressed interest in the player after learning that he was not part of Juve manager Thiago Motta’s long-term plans.
He signed a £42 million contract with the Bianconeri in July 2022, following a successful loan spell at Fiorentina the previous two seasons.
Chiesa made 37 appearances, 29 of which were starts, and scored 10 goals last season. He also scored twice in nine games for his country, both of which came in a Euro 2024 qualification triumph over North Macedonia last November.
After flourishing at Juve under Andrea Pirlo, he sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury in January 2022 and struggled to recover his previous form when he returned under Massimiliano Allegri, and his days appear numbered since Motta’s arrival earlier this summer.
