Manuel Ugarte from PSG could be signed by Manchester United if Scott McTominay’s transfer to Napoli is approved.
The 27-year-old has spent his entire club career at Old Trafford, joining the United junior system at the age of five.
As part of United’s Premier League squad, he meets the requirement for ‘homegrown’ players.
After lengthy negotiations, the two clubs came to an agreement, with the Scot apparently negotiating McTominay’s exit from United to Napoli.
Approximately £26 million is the transfer cost that Napoli is expected to pay for McTominay, who has made three substitution appearances for United this season, according to Mail Sport.
After spending more than 20 years with Manchester United, Scott McTominay is probably going to leave the team.
Since making his United debut in 2017, McTominay, a 27-year-old midfielder, has made over 250 appearances.
The agreement also includes a sell-on provision, according to The Athletic, which entitles United to a share of McTominay’s subsequent transfer money should Napoli decide to sell him.
McTominay last played for United on Saturday in a 2-1 loss to Brighton. Billy Gilmour, a fellow Scotland midfielder, also played in the game.
Napoli expressed interest in Gilmour this summer, but McTominay is now their top midfield target.
Napoli finished tenth in Serie A last season, after winning the title the previous season.
They’ve since signed Leonardo Spinazzola, Rafa Marin, Alessandro Buongiorno, and David Neres.
Romelu Lukaku, a Chelsea striker, is also reportedly close to joining Naples.

Romelu Lukaku, a 31-year-old striker from Belgium, is almost done with a contract with Napoli for the summer.
United should be able to acquire more room and money by selling McTominay in order to pursue Manuel Ugarte, a midfielder for Paris Saint-Germain.
Ugarte has declared his desire to join United, and he has not participated in either of PSG’s first two games of the new Ligue 1 season.
