Bellingham uploaded numerous images from his trip to Los Angeles, two of which featured Alexander-Arnold.

They were also seen riding a roller coaster together at a Six Flags amusement park.

However, an image that leaked on social media revealed that Alexander-Arnold, 25, had signed a Real Madrid shirt during the break.

He was observed writing on a young boy’s Los Blancos jersey, sparking rumours over his Liverpool future.

Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson earlier tried to persuade Bellingham, 21, to join the Reds before he signed with Real Madrid.

Since then, Alexander-Arnold and Bellingham have become even closer, and they were best friends in the England camp throughout the Euros.

Bellingham defended Alexander-Arnold after the Liverpool player was chastised for his efforts in England’s midfield.

He said: “He makes it so easy for me because he can control the game so well defensively in that position.

“I know people talk a lot of rubbish but he’s so aggressive with that back to goal pressure and it really helped me as well because it meant I got a breather when he went out.

“I think we understand each other well with the ball, he wants to play positive all the time, he wants to play forward all the time.”

Alexander-Arnold has made 310 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 19 goals and assisting 81.

He has won the Premier League, Champions League, two Carabao Cups, the FA Cup, and the Club World Cup since graduating from the academy in 2016.

He appears to have enjoyed his time in America
