Brentford, Fulham, West Ham United, and Crystal Palace are all eager to recruit Nelson. Nevertheless, none of these teams have made an official offer as of yet.

Although it seems doubtful that anything will be settled before the Gunners go on their pre-season tour of the USA on Sunday, the winger is eager to have his future decided.

There is undoubtedly a compelling case to be made for the 24-year-old’s departure from Emirates Stadium this summer. Nelson only had one Premier League start from Mikel Arteta last season, and at this point in his career, he ought to be playing frequently.

Although Nelson has displayed moments of brilliance in the Premier League, he has never had enough games to truly establish himself in the league.

The idea of the former England under-21 international visiting the London Stadium is undoubtedly unsettling to some West Ham United supporters.

“I personally wouldn’t sign him just based on his wages,” a fan stated. Would he play on the first team? I don’t think so. Offer 40k and a weekly appearance, performance, and win bonus if both of us are sincere.

“So he shouldn’t have bothered signing a new contract last year and he’d be free as a bird to join us,” said another. Now that they are fully in control, Arsenal will want an absurd fee for a player they have no intention of utilizing.

“Idk about this,” said another. Although I hope he is wrong, I don’t think this will work out.

“Would take him on loan but would be very doubtful if permanent.. you never know though.. would prefer Nketiah,” someone else commented.
