When he was little, Jayson Tatum remembers crying because he didn’t obtain Lebron James’ autograph

While they are colleagues on Team USA, 11-year-old Jayson Tatum was once forced to go back to his mother’s car in tears by four-time champion Lebron James.

In an NBA video, Tatum recounted an incident from his time practicing with Team USA when he was eleven years old and wаnted to meet the superstar for a picture and autograph, but things didn’t work out the way he had hoped.

Tatum recollected, “I wаnted to meet Lebron and get an autograph and a picture with him.” He said, “I’m out,” as there were many people in the area. I cried as soon as I got in the car after saying, “I gotta go.”

In a lighthearted question, James questioned Tatum about why the player had dunked on him during Game 7 of the 2018 Eastern Conference Finals.

But is it the reason you turned on me? Is it the reason you humiliated me at the Conference Finals? Is James asking?

“It’s the return,” Tatum remarked.

Tatum arrived late to the Team USA training camp earlier in July while sporting a brand-new haircut.

James remarked, “The last time you had that haircut, you punched on me.”
