Nico Williams’ goal in the 48th minute gave Spain an early lead in the second half, but England’s persistence and resilience paid off when Palmer equalised in the 65th minute, thanks to a wonderful assist from Bukky Saka.
The match appeared headed for extra time as both teams fought valiantly, but Oyarzabal’s stroke of brilliance secured Spain’s triumph.
