The United States of America, having completed its training camp, is one of the participating nations. LeBron James, 39, was the best player on the court despite the fact that the team had some of the greatest players in the world.

James was chosen by his peers as the finest member of the national team in a straw poll that The Athletic held among the Olympic camp attendees. With five votes, he secured the majority of the vote. Stephen Curry, Jrue Holiday, and Anthony Edwards each garnered two votes. However, Anthony Davis, Bam Adebayo, Kawhi Leonard, and Joel Embiid each only garnered one vote.

Amen Thompson, a forward with the Houston Rockets who was selected for the USA Select Team, expressed his disbelief at James’s level of performance during their scrimmages.
