At Euro 2024, DECLAN RICE has surpassed EVERY single player.
The England captain leads the pack having played a significant role in each of his country’s matches in Germany.
He has run almost 2km more than Granit Xhaka, who is second on the list
Declan Rice has covered more distance than any other player at the Euros
After tying Holland in the semi-final on Wednesday, Gareth Southgate’s team is now only two victories away from winning the competition.
After defeating Switzerland in the quarterfinals on penalties, the Three Lions are on a high.
Since Saturday, England’s technicians have been the centre of attention, as evidenced by the fact that Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jude Bellingham, Cole Palmer, Bukayo Saka, and Ivan Toney all made shots in the shootout.
On the pitch, though, Rice has frequently been the driving force behind England’s triumph.
Furthermore, the statistics demonstrate that the Arsenal player is still pushing his team forward for Euro 2024.
After travelling the most distance of any player in Germany, Rice comes in first place among a list of elite athletes.
Over the course of England’s three group stage matches, as well as the semifinals and quarterfinals, the former West Ham captain has sprinted an incredible 63.9km (39.8 miles).
Surprisingly, Granit Xhaka in Switzerland, ranked No. 2 on the list, is only about 2 km away.
Joshua Kimmich of Germany is third with 61km.
And fourth is Xhaka’s Swiss midfield partner Remo Freuler.
But amazingly, fifth on the list is none other than Phil Foden.
The silky playmaker is mostly known for his goals and dribbles at Manchester City.
However, footballer of the year Foden has been doing plenty of running at the Euros after being placed on the left wing by Southgate.
It’s seen the ace drift deep and inside to help create attacks.
And Foden has run a brilliant 58.2km (36miles) during England’s five games so far.
Elsewhere, Switzerland’s Michel Aebischer (57.5km), Germany’s Toni Kroos (57.2km) and France’s Jules Kounde (56.3km) come next on the list.
Ninth place goes to N’Golo Kante, who has been superb for France while covering 56km.
And the final spot in the top ten goes to Portugal’s Bernardo Silva, who has travelled 55.6km.
