Roy Keane, a Manchester United star, was photographed wearing an Arsenal shirt while covering Euro 2024 in Germany.
Keane, 52, played for the Red Devils from 1993 until 2005, during which time he became a fan favourite.
He won 17 titles while at Old Trafford, making him one of United’s most decorated players.
However, when in Germany, he appeared to switch allegiances.
Keane was spotted wearing an Arsenal shirt while arriving at a studio in Germany, leaving Gunners great Ian Wright astonished.
“It suits you,” Wright added. “Man United fans are gonna do their nut!”
Keane then showed off a matching shirt with ‘Wright 8’ printed on the back.
The former Ireland midfielder has admitted that he despised Arsenal during his playing career.
He stated, “I felt a lot of dislike for Arsenal since they were major rivals.
“I can’t think of another word that comes to mind when I’m going into combat with Arsenal. Hatred was the word.
“Normally, when you play football, you have one or two favorite players, but I don’t remember like anyone at Arsenal.
“When I was a player, I might have used it, but I used to work myself up to be angry and get my body psyched because I knew I had to be at my best against Arsenal.
“I never felt like that against any other team but Arsenal certainly brought out something different in me.”
Despite his hate for Arsenal, Keane has formed a bond with ex-Gunner Wright.
They both appear on the Stick to Football podcast and collaborate for ITV Sport.
It is unclear why hardman Keane was wearing the Arsenal shirt, but fans theorized online that it was either a forfeit or related to his work on the program.
