‘I will decide’: £100 million forward approached by Liverpool reveals he will consider his future after Euro 2024

After being linked with a move to Arne Slot’s new Liverpool project, one forward has stated that he needs to make a choice about his future.

Liverpool are unlikely to make many signings this summer, given that Slot took over Jurgen Klopp’s very strong squad.

However, in addition to adding a new centre-back as Virgil van Dijk’s insurance policy, Liverpool might add a winger to challenge the starting eleven.

Mohamed Salah should be ready to go, and there’s little doubt that he’ll be a vital player for Slot, just as he was for Klopp.

But there may be more argument on the other flank: might Liverpool find an upgrade on Luis Diaz?

That may be unfair on the Colombian, who performed admirably in his country’s Copa America victory over Paraguay on Monday.

However, given a summer in which Diaz has been heavily linked with a Liverpool exit, it may be preferable that Slot and his squad move first.

Having said that, Liverpool has reportedly made an approach to sign Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will decide his future after Euro 2024, amid Liverpool’s approach.

Kvaratskhelia shone for Georgia in their historic triumph over Portugal at Euro 2024 on Wednesday evening, reminding the world of his potential.

The Liverpool linked forward scored Georgia’s opener and showed exactly why he could be world class in Slot’s new Liverpool set up, which is likely to lean on its winger’s creativity.

That being said, Kvaratskhelia was then asked to respond to new Napoli manager Antonio Conte’s comments on his future.

Conte just announced that the Georgian would remain at the club – a key player in his new era.

However, speaking via Fabrizio Romano who posted his comments on X, Kvaratskhelia didn’t seem quite as certain, even if he did confess his love for the club.

Kvaratskhelia said: “I respect Conte, he’s one of the best managers”.

“I also respect Napoli, I love Napoli”.

“I will decide my future after the Euros. Now I’m focused on the game vs Spain”.

Of course, Kvaratskhelia would most likely hope to postpone discussions about his future until Georgia defeats Spain, a historic event that only a player of his calibre can do.

Liverpool may be hesitant to complete a trade this summer, but if Kvaratskhelia makes himself available and a deal can be worked out, the Georgian may become the poster boy of Slot’s time on Merseyside.
