Joshua Kimmich could leave Bayern Munich this summer and is open to a move to Liverpool.
According to Flortian Plettenberg, the German international is on the verge of quitting the Bavarian club since neither party wants to extend the contract, which is set to expire in twelve months.
Liverpool have ‘instant’ finances to secure £46.3 million-£50.6 million deal, according to a report.
The renowned Sky Sports pundit has stated that Liverpool is one of the clubs Kimmich would be prepared to join. He stated on X:
“He only wants to join ManCity, Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid or Barcelona.”
The 29-year-old has won every major trophy with Bayern Munich and is now seeking a new challenge abroad.
Kimmich is a talented player who has excelled in both defensive midfield and right back positions.
Last season, he primarily featured in the No.6 position for the Bundesliga giants, scoring two goals and providing ten assists in all competitions.
In contrast, at the European Championships, he played the entire 90 minutes in all of the group games as a right defender.
Liverpool certainly require an upgrade to Japanese playmaker Wataru Endo, and Kimmich would be an excellent addition.
According to Bild, signing the Kaiser would cost between £25.4 million and £33.8 million (30-40 million euros), with annual salary of roughly £17 million.
The asking price is reasonable for a high-quality player like Kimmich. In your opinion, should Liverpool fulfil the cost to complete his signing?
