In the second half of the just finished season, the 25-year-old established himself as Arsenal’s starting number nine, and he is currently playing that position for Germany.

After defeating Scotland 5-1 in their opening match, the hosts of Euro 2024 won again on Wednesday, almost guaranteeing their spot in the tournament’s knockout stages.

After less than an hour of play as the starting number nine for Arsenal, Kai Havertz was substituted for Leroy Sane.

In the end, Germany won 2-0, with goals coming from former Manchester City player Ilkay Gündoğan and emerging Bayern Munich sensation Jamal Musiala.

Darren Bent responded to Havertz’s performance and the way that the player’s support declined during the match.

The former Premier League striker, who grew up loving Arsenal, said to talkSPORT (19/06/24 at 6:30 pm) that Havertz was “causing so many problems” early in the game and that “they weren’t giving him the service.”

Havertz opened Germany’s Euro 2024 campaign with a goal from the penalty spot, but he was unable to add to his total against a Hungarian squad that fought far harder than the Scots.
