Former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli shown that his abilities are not restricted to the football pitch by posting a video of his Muay Thai training.

The Italian striker was seen training inside the Kamala Muay Thai gym in Phuket, Thailand

With his many pranks over the years, such as lighting fireworks inside his team’s changing room, the Italian cemented his place as one of contemporary football’s most memorable characters.

However, it appears that the 33-year-old has found a means to vent his energy without disturbing his teammates by posting a video inside an MMA facility.

In a video posted on X, Balotelli was seen practicing some spectacular kicks inside the Kamala Muay Thai gym in Phuket, Thailand.

The Adana Demirspor striker was certainly not new to the sport, as he landed some strong kicks on his coach’s pads.

In a Facebook post, the school wrote: “Kamala Muay Thai is thrilled to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mario Balotelli for joining us at our training camp.”

“We are thrilled to have such a well-known athlete immerse himself in the rich tradition and tough discipline of Muay Thai with us.

‘At Kamala Muay Thai, we take pleasure in providing top-tier instruction to everyone, from young novices learning the basics of Muay Thai to seasoned experts sharpening their talents.

Balotelli recently made headlines for pretending to smoke when a lighter was tossed on the pitch during one of his Turkish Super Lig matches.

The 33-year-old displayed some impressive kicks during his MMA training session

Demirspor supporters have seen his ability firsthand, as the 33-year-old has seven goals in 16 Super Lig outings this season, the most recent coming against Fenerbahce in April.

After scoring in the 25th minute, Balotelli celebrated by pretending to smoke after picking up a lighter thrown at him by irate fans in the stands.

It was yet another legendary celebration in a growing collection that includes Balotelli’s famous moment when he unveiled a ‘why always me?’ t-shirt after scoring against Manchester United in the Manchester derby.

Despite appearing to smoke after scoring, Balotelli was earlier caught with a real cigarette in his mouth on a visit to Florida.

When he was 23 years old and playing for AC Milan, he was photographed smoking on a hotel balcony while roaming about topless.
