The Mavericks got off to a quick start, leading by 13 points in the first quarter thanks to strong plays from Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic. But the Celtics rallied, and Dallas managed to hold onto a slender 51-50 lead at the half’s finish.
The Celtics dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Mavericks 35-19 to take a 10-point advantage. Dallas put up a spirited rally in the fourth quarter, bringing the score down to just three points, but in the end, they were unable to overcome Doncic’s absence due to a late-game foul.
