Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, like his predecessor Brendan Rodgers, has been photographed in Spain, making the most of his time away from football.
Meanwhile, Rodgers is celebrating his double, having led Celtic to league and cup titles in his second season with the club. The Northern Irishman travelled to Spain with a journalist from a Belfast publication, where he met two former Liverpool managers.
Klopp was enjoying the sun alongside wife Ulla and reporter Steven Beacom bumped into them while meeting with Rodgers. He took a photo to mark the moment, writing on X: “Three guys out in the Spanish sun, two magnificent managers and one fun pic…
“Great to see Brendan and Jurgen looking so relaxed and enjoying themselves.” He added: ‘And a big Thank You, Gracias, Danke to Jurgen’s lovely wife Ulla for taking the picture.”
Klopp has been spotted several times since bidding his sad goodbyes at Anfield. Following a farewell ceremony in front of 11,000 Liverpool fans at the M&S Bank Arena, he was sighted at Wembley Stadium this month to watch his former team, Borussia Dortmund, face Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
In order to keep Reds and other football fans interested in Klopp’s life after leaving Liverpool, he set up his own Instagram account, “Kloppo.” After releasing behind-the-scenes images from his final days at Liverpool and the farewell ceremony, he was seen playing padel on it.
