Undoubtedly, football-fashion collaborations have grown to be huge business, and with the Euros fast approaching, more are probably on the way. First, though, as the UK Premier League season comes to an end and Arsenal tries to maintain their winning streak, the team’s rising star and New Balance athlete Bukayo Saka has used the opportunity to showcase the forthcoming Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance Furon 7+.

ALD and New Balance have a long history of working together. Over the years, the pair has produced a slew of collaborations, and Teddy Santis, the creator of the company, also serves as the creative director of New Balance’s MADE in USA line. Football was a logical next step for ALD, who had already dabbled in motorsport and golfing. Their earlier New Balance partnerships had drawn inspiration from everything from running to basketball. The NB Furon 7+ that results has gold ornamentation dripping out of the boot’s white uppers, evoking memories of the branded emblems seen on ALD’s previous New Balance collaborations.

Nor is this the first fashion crossover for New Balance Football. Raheem Sterling debuted the Stone Island x New Balance Furon 7 in 2022, together with a joint 574 and a matching apparel line. Although a lifestyle sneaker isn’t yet confirmed to be a part of this partnership, the announcement post does state that the boot will be released in the next months.
