Theo Walcott, a former winger for Arsenal, has now asserted that he was able to do one thing that Thierry Henry and Bukayo Saka were unable do.
In his Arsenal days, Theo Walcott was renowned for his quickness. The 35-year-old was incredibly quick at his best. In 397 appearances in all competitions, he scored 108 goals for the Gunners, using his blistering pace as a weapon to terrorise opposing defences.
Although Walcott lacked consistency in his crossing and finishing, his speed meant that the Gunners could always find a dangerous opening to take advantage of.
Theo Walcott, a former Arsenal player, asserts boldly about his speed From 2006 to 2018, the former England international with 47 caps was registered with North London. But in 2023, he came back to hаunt his old team, when his goal for Southampton derailed Mikel Arteta’s team’s hopes of winning the Premier League. Walcott recently acknowledged that a lot of Arsenal supporters are still not very forgiving of him for that goal.

Upon reflection of his career, Walcott has stated which players he was quicker than when he was at his best. In a video that was uploaded on X, Nubaid Haroon—the former Arsenal player—was given a roster of celebrities to compete against for speed. Gareth Bale, Kylian Mbappe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Erling Haaland, Micky van de Ven, Vinicius Jr., and Marcus Rashford were among the players Walcott claimed to have outpaced.
Walcott asserted that he might surpass Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka among current Arsenal players. Ben White, wearing an Arsenal shirt, did, in fact, record the fastest sprint pace this season.
Walcott said, “I beаt Thierry Henry’s record when I was at Arsenal, so definitely me,” in reference to the legendary Gunner. That is a true statement.
Among the twenty names presented to him, Walcott admitted that only three would beаt him in a race: Adama Traore, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Kyle Walker.
Martinelli can bring the same kind of effect to the current Arsenal team that Walcott did thanks to his lightning-fast speed. The Brazilian winger is eager to bounce back from a rather underwhelming campaign and show everyone exactly how significant he can be in the future.
