After being fired by Crystal Palace, Patrick Viera has been lounging in the Caribbean sun.

Pictures of the French manager swimming in the sea and enjoying the sun have surfaced from Barbados.

The 46-year-old also spent some time doing water activities including kayaking and using an inflatable water trampoline.

The Arsenal great was seen taking full use of his time away from the dugout by leaping off the inflatable into the ocean.

Wearing blue swim shorts and swimming topless, the manager displayed his tattoos as well.

Vieira has a soldier covered in laurel leaves tattooed on his right arm. 

The area of his tummy surrounding his belly button bears another tattoo.

The pattern looks to be the horns and skull of a ram.

A dismal run of results saw Vieira fired from his position as Crystal Palace manager in March.

Roy Hodgson, the manager he had succeeded in 2021 when he first came to Selhurst Park, took his post.

Jobs at Leeds and Nottingham Forest have since been linked to the former Arsenal player.

Since Hodgson took charge, the Eagles have won two straight, including a 5-1 victory over Leeds at the weekend.
