’Diddy’ Sean Combs was unfollowed by LeBron James on Instagram. A Lakers fan page noticed the unfollowing on Saturday, which set off a flurry of rumours about his stance on the controversy involving his former pal.

The inquiry wаs stаrted the previоus mоnth with а rаid аt his mаnsiоns in Miаmi аnd Lоs аngeles. It is bаsed оn decаdes-оld аllegаtiоns оf sexuаl аssаult. 

A minor was implicated in one of the accusations, and newly released video from Friday depicted Combs abusing his then-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura in a hotel in Los Angeles in 2016. Some claimed it would make the investigation—which is still ongoing—more urgent.

James, 39, who dislikes controversy, promptly removed the 54-year-old, igniting a flurry of discussion on the reasoning behind and implications of the action.

As evidence, @LakeShowYo shared a screenshot of James’s preferred accounts that were “Diddy-less.” The post said, “LeBron has UNFOLLOWED Diddy on IG.”

James’ public relations team, which is renowned for keeping the athlete out of the spotlight in recent years, received a lot of acclaim from the public right away.

This is in contrast to a number of his NBA predecessors, players from other leagues, and players whose names have been on career-ending headlines in the past, such as Josh Giddy of Oklahoma City and dismissed forward Jontay Porter.

In the video, he is seen running after a 29-year-old Ventura along the hallway of the InterContinental Hotel in Century City when she tries to enter a lift. He is shirtless and has a towel wrapped around his waist. He then grabs Ventura by the hair and throws her to the ground. 

The All About the Benjamins artist then drags her back to their shared room after kicking her repeatedly.

In addition, he was spotted throwing a glass vase at the singer. The artist later filed a legal claim against Combs last year, which was quickly resolved. 

Even though the video has nothing to do with the investigation, it is nevertheless making waves. For James, it was the final straw that made him finally break his silence on the R&B singer.
