NBA Rumors: Surprising Team Emerges As Bronny James Draft Landing Spot

Garnett believes that Bronny possesses some of the same qualities and potential that Kobe Bryant had. However, he clarifies that he is not calling him the young Kobe, but rather recognizing his potential. Garnett seems to have a better understanding of what lies ahead for Bronny in the NBA than others who may think that the USC guard wouldn’t receive as much attention if it weren’t for his famous father.

Accоrding tо Garnett, Brоnny lооks really gооd and pоised, shоwing that he is cоmfоrtable in the mоment and capable оf handling the pressure surrоunding him. Garnett alsо believes that the fact that Brоnny shares the same genes as his Lakers superstar dad makes him an intriguing prоspect fоr teams cоnsidering selecting him in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Garnett suggests that if he were a team, he would take a chance on Bronny because greatness runs through his veins. He believes that at some point, Bronny will have a growth spurt, and everything will click for him.

As for the Lakers, if they want assurance that LeBron James won’t opt out of his player option for the 2024-25 NBA season, they could potentially draft Bronny. However, there is no guarantee that the Lakers will select him, and another team could take him before they have the chance, especially if a franchise picking before them wants to entice LeBron to sign with them by selecting Bronny.

At this point, it would be surprising if Bronny is drafted in the first round, whether by the Lakers or another team. However, if the Lakers do choose him, it would likely be due to the LeBron James factor and the desire to keep him with the team. Bronny played 25 games for USC in the 2023-24 college basketball season, primarily as part of the team’s second unit. His freshman season stats included averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 36.6% from the field and 26.7% from behind the arc.
