The 36-year-old footballer reportedly turned down an offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal worth $300 million (about Rs 2500 crore) each year. Instead, Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas said that he had signed a contract with an MLS team worth between $50 and $60 million per year (about Rs 413 to 496 crore). Messi will continue to earn millions of dollars from endorsements such as his exclusive profit-sharing arrangement with Adidas, even though the amount is less than what Al-Hilal promised him.
