The Gunners are currently focused solely on the Premier League title race. They are hoping Manchester City will make a mistake, and if Arsenal wins their remaining games, Mikel Arteta’s team will be crowned champions.

Regardless of what happens, Arsenal will be active in the transfer market this summer. All eyes will be on the incomings, but a few players may also leave the Emirates.

Thomas Partey makes a decision on his Arsenal future.Thomas Partey has had a really rough season at Arsenal.

The Ghanaian international, who joined Arsenal for £45 million in 2020 (BBC), is one of the world’s top midfielders. He played an important role in Arsenal’s attempt to win the Premier League last season.

However, Partey has only made seven Premier League starts this season, four of which have occurred since April of this year.

The 30-year-old will enter his final year of contract in July. If Arsenal want to keep him, they’ll need to extend his contract.

However, according to reports, Arsenal’s number five has other plans.

According to Aspor, Partey intends to leave Arsenal once the summer transfer window begins, ending his four-year tenure at the Emirates.

According to the source, Turkish champions Galatasaray attempted to sign Partey in the summer of 2023, but the deal did not go through.

Galatasaray wants to try their luck again this summer, hoping to capture the midfielder for a cheap amount as he enters his final year of contract.

The Ghanaian has started the Gunners’ previous three games, against Bournemouth, Tottenham Hotspur, and Chelsea, and has performed admirably.

He is truly a superb player, but Arsenal may contemplate trading him for three reasons:

Transfer fee: Partey’s contract will expire in July after only one year. If Arsenal keeps him but he does not sign a new contract, they risk losing him for free next year. This will cost them millions.

Wages: Partey is among Arsenal’s highest-paid players. He earns a whopping £200,000 every week (Spotrac). Selling him will significantly lower Arsenal’s pay cost, freeing up funds for new acquisitions.

Unreliable: Partey has struggled with injuries since joining Arsenal. Since November 2020, the midfielder has missed more than 70 games owing to fitness difficulties. As good as he is, injuries render him untrustworthy.
