🚨 Takehiro Tomiyasu is the ONLY player absent from Arsenal training at Sobha Realty Training Centre, but ‘he could come later on’, while Bukayo Saka is wearing strapping on his leg

As Arsenal continues to get ready for Sunday’s match against Manchester United, Takehiro Tomiyasu has not been observed in training this morning. While Tomiyasu was absent on Tuesday at Mikel Arteta’s team’s practice at their Colney base, he participated in the entire 90 minutes of Saturday’s 3-0 triumph over Bournemouth.

The former Bologna defender was not in the video footage that was taken, although Sky Sports refuted this by saying he “could come later on.” But Jurrien Timber was one person who was involved. Despite being in line to make his eagerly anticipated return to the first team, the Dutchman was not included in the matchday squad this past weekend. If Tomiyasu is unable to join the Arsenal team at Old Trafford on Sunday, Timber may have an opportunity.

Bukayo Saka was spotted somewhere else with strapping on his leg. The England international sustained a serious cut to his shin during the victory over Bournemouth, but he has continued to exercise normally despite the ιnjury. Saka was taken off the field late in the match at Emirates Stadium, but the Gunners were already well up and Declan Rice added a third goal shortly after to guarantee three points.

In his pоst-match press cоnference, Arteta respоnded tо repоrters when they asked him abоut his оpiniоn оn the challenge that Ryan Christie оf Bоurnemоuth made tо Saka оn Saturday. “The hоnest answer is I haven’t seen any оf the incidents because I knew yоu were gоing tо ask me,” Arteta said. “I deliberately did that. When the analyst asked if I wаnted tо watch it, I respоnded nо, as then I cоuld be hоnest.

“I can’t comment or form an opinion because I haven’t seen them. I can’t see the foul on David because it’s too far away. Is the one on Bukayo intentional or not? I have no idea, so it’s hard for me to judge.”
