Fulham skip training ahead of Man City match as Arsenal Premier League title blow

Arsenal fans will be paying close attention to this week’s early Premier League kick-off, hoping that Fulham can do them a huge favour in the quest for the title.

If Manchester City defeats Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday at 12.30pm, the Gunners might lose their lead at the top of the standings. As it stands, Manchester City still holds the title because they have a game in hand over Arsenal, but any points missed by Pep Guardiola’s team will benefit Arsenal.

Fans will be hoping Fulham can cause an upset, despite the fact that the Cottagers are comfortably mid-table and have nothing significant to play for between now and the conclusion of the season. It has sparked to speculation that Fulham could be ‘on the beach’ ahead of their game against Manchester City.

Fulham striker Raul Jimenez released a video from training on social media, showing the squad flying kites as they prepare for the weekend’s game. Fulham fans have shared the video on social media, with one stating, “I don’t think there’s a bigger sign of a team being on the beach when our players are flying kites in training.”

Fulham have gone winless in their previous three league games, drawing 0-0 with Brentford in their most recent appearance. However, manager Marco Silva has stated that his players will give their all to achieve a victory in front of their home fans.

“We are going to try and win the game as always,” he stated. “It is apparent to me that we will give it everything we have.

“We’ll be playing against one of the world’s finest teams, if not the best, in my opinion. But, as usual, and especially at Craven Cottage, we are a very difficult team to play against, and we will give City a very difficult game as well.”
