Bukayo Saka converted the resulting penalty kick for his 20th goal of the season.

The former Chelsea striker has been terrific since joining the Gunners on a regular basis. He could compel the club to reconsider its need for a marquee centre-forward.

Despite the win, Arsenal continues to behind Manchester City in the title chase. City are only one point behind Arsenal and have a game in hand over Tottenham Hotspur.

Arteta’s team can only perform their job in the next two games and hope that the champions slip up.
