Upon his arrival at the airport, Stephen Curry, the point guard for the Golden State Warriors, was met with an enthusiastic welcome from approximately 250 fans who eagerly sought pictures and interactions with him. Reflecting on this experience, Curry expressed his ongoing enjoyment of such moments, stating, “Coming out of the airport seeing like 250 fans trying to get a picture and something like that is the part that I still want to enjoy.” During a press conference held at BGC, Curry specifically credited the encouragement and warm reception he has received from Filipino supporters as the driving force behind his desire to return to the Philippines in the future.

Curry enjoyed a tour of Manila in a famous Filipino jeepney, a common experience for celebrities visiting the Philippines, including the Pope, Coldplay, and the Riverdale cast.

Curry was also given the opportunity to try the Filipino “halo-halo” dessert, which is made of shaved ice, yam, and fruits and has even Anthony Bourdain raving about its taste. This is one of the must-do activities for travelers to the Philippines.

Curry and his father, Dell Curry, won the Under Armour Southeast Asia 3×3 competition at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Curry’s last act in the Philippines was to lead the student-athletes in their promise of sportsmanship during the 81st University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) season.
