The purported Arsenal home shirt for next season has Spurs fans saying the same thing: the iconic red body is shaped like a bottle! On X (previously Twitter), an account called Football Headlines released photographs of what appears to be the new Arsenal home kit for the 2024-25 season, which features blue side labels alongside the red body and white sides.

But it wasn’t long before opposing fans, including a few Gooners, recognized that the shape of the shirt’s main red area resembled something else. The red section resembles a bottle,’ one user said, alongside laughter emoticons.  One Spurs supporter shared a photo of a red drinks bottle, while another praised the bottle design in the middle. #AdidasKnows #Bottlers, accompanied by three sobbing laughter emojis.

One of the pictures included the garment placed in front of bricks, which was mocked.

Is there a bottle on the wall? “Amazing haha,” remarked another Tottenham fan.

“Adidas made a bottle for Arsenal to continue the legacy,” remarked another cheeky fan.

One Gooner also noted the design similarities, writing: ‘Even Adidas is making fun of us “bottling”‘.

Arsenal has been dubbed the ‘bottlers’ due to their failure to carry a successful campaign to completion.

Their well-publicised inadequacies last season, despite ruling the Premier League for so long, were compounded this season by relinquishing top spot to Aston Villa last weekend and being knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich. Arteta agreed that this week ‘wasn’t the ideal experience’, but insisted Arsenal was focused on the title chase.
