Russell Westbrook makes an appearance for System Magazine dressed as the weird Thom Browne

Russell Westbrook, the star player of the Los Angeles Clippers, continues to make waves in the fashion industry with his love for retro looks. In a recent photoshoot for System Magazine, the 35-year-old NBA great showcased his affinity for vintage style, channeling the iconic designer Thom Browne.

Ahead of the Clippers’ playoff game against the Mavericks, Westbrook took to Instagram to share pictures from the magazine photoshoot. He donned a traditional Thom Browne long kilt, a stylish variety jacket, a tie, and Thom Browne boots.

Unafraid to push boundaries and embrace unconventional attire, Westbrook confidently posed in a tan burned plaid wool blend skirt suit paired with antique boots. Collaborating with Thom Browne inspired him and opened his eyes to new and exciting fashion possibilities.

“I’ve seen a lot of shows over the years, and they always inspire me and help me see a lot more,” Westbrook expressed. “I’m really appreciative of the opportunity to work with him and build a relationship.”

The nine-time NBA All-Star highlighted the connection between athletics and fashion, believing that athletes express their creativity in both their sport and their clothing choices. Westbrook hopes to inspire others to dress boldly and fearlessly through his own unique style.

While acknowledging that not everyone may be drawn to his audacious wardrobe choices, Westbrook remаins unfazed by reviews. He aims to encourage people to embrace their own appearance with confidence and expressiveness.

Westbrook’s passion for fashion ignited early in his career when he wore his first bespoke suit after being drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics in 2008. Since then, he has continuously experimented with his style, fearlessly donning torn shirts and even skirts.
