With the signing of Leandro Trossard, ARSENAL has found a replacement for Mykhailo Mudryk. After a £27 million transfer was finalized, the Belgian winger left Brighton to join the Gunners. After the international and Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi had a falling out, the transaction was made.
Although the Seagulls had the option to extend his contract by one additional year, he was in the final six months of his deal.
Trossard will provide Mikel Arteta, the manager, with choices to play his team’s left wing, possibly against Manchester United.
The 28-year-old played largely as a left attacker at the Amex, and he could continue to do so at Arsenal. Trossard could play as a striker on the left side of Eddie Nketiah in a forward three that Arteta could easily use. Since his right foot is stronger than the other, he frequently cuts inside to attempt a goal.
With Trossard, Arteta also has the option of using him as a left wing-back. Even though he would rather be higher up the field, he frequently performed well there under former manager Graham Potter.
In order to create opportunities for goals, Trossard was able to overlap оffensive midfielders and enter the box late.
The winger was never the most productive player, but he frequently excelled in pivotal moments. Trossard has scored 25 goals in the Premier League, 13 of which have come against the ‘Big Six’.
