And that’s a wrap for the schoolyard construction projects by @eatlearnplay in 2023! We successfully completed our sixth and final build of the year, collaborating with the amazing community at Laurel Elementary in #Oakland. A huge thanks to our outstanding partners @kaboom and @ousdnews, the continued generous support from the Bhusri family, and our dedicated team of volunteers and supporters. As a result, the @laurellions now have a brand-new play structure designed by kids, two multi-sport courts, a nature exploration area, 22 freshly planted trees, and stunning murals.

These six newly transformed schoolyards ensure that nearly 3,000 students have access to safe, high-quality, and joyful spaces for play and physical activity. But this is just the beginning! Over the next three years, Eat. Learn. Play. remains committed to completing 25 schoolyard projects in Oakland elementary schools, providing additional resources and support to students.
