Arsenal player ratings vs Wolves: Declan Rice is the difference-maker as Leandro Trossard and Martin Odegaard secure victory to reignite Arsenal’s title aspirations.

The Arsenal concluded a difficult week on a high, moving back above Manchester City in the Premier League title chase. Leandro Trossard’s goal just before halftime and Martin Odegaard’s ιnjury-time finish were enough to give Arsenal an uneasy 2-0 victory over Wolves, returning them to the top of the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta’s team came into the game after a painful week in which they lost control of the title race to Manchester City after losing to Aston Villa, and then were knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich. So they knew they had to react at Molineux, and they did so thanks to Trossard’s magnificent sliced attempt into the top corner and Odegaard’s angled goal in stoppage time.

Declan Rice (8/10):

Arsenal looked better when he injected some drive into the game. A few more shots in the first half would have helped. He really came into his own in the closing 20 minutes and dominated the game, as evidenced by his role in Odegaard’s goal.

Martin Odegaard (7/10):

Worked as hard as ever, yet the current performance appears to be below par. Not playing with the same zeal, but still important to Arsenal’s success. He finished the game with a superb finish late on.

Kai Havertz (6/10):

He almost scored inside 45 seconds, but his attempt was saved. He never appeared to be at ease in this deeper midfield role, although he contributed to the victory.

Bukayo Saka(6/10):

Toti guy marked him all evening, and he got Һit hard as usual. On the rare occasions when he did find any space, he appeared threatening.

Gabriel Jesus (6/10):

Not at his finest. Although he appears to lack confidence in front of goal, he played an important role in setting up Trossard for his goal at the conclusion of the first half.

Leandro Trossard 7/10:

He missed a fantastic chance in the first half but made apologies by breаking the deadlock right before halftime.

David Raya (8/10):

In the first half, he made a fantastic stop to push Joao Gomes’ strike into the post. When called upon, I completed all tasks efficiently.

Benjamin White (7/10):

He got into good situations a few chances in the first half, but his finishing let him down. I connected nicely with Saka and Odegaard and really got into the game after the break.

William Saliba 7/10:

Another excellent effort by the young centre-back. At the rear, no one appeared to be concerned.

Gabriel Magalhaes 7/10:

Solid enough, although made one weak clearance that resulted in a Wolves chance before the interval.

Jakub Kiwior (6/10):

Struggled in the first half and was fortunate to escape when his blunder allowed Joao Gomes to take a shot on goal, which Raya saved excellently. Improved as the game progressed.
