Arsenal’s hotshot Chido Obi-Martin scored four times in 45 minutes against West Ham Under-18s on Saturday morning. Already playing up the age groups, the 16-year-old added more in the second half.
He scored a hat-trick in 26 minutes with just 13 between his first and third goals, bringing his season total to 20 in 14 Under-18 Premier League games with two assists.
He has scored four in 69 minutes for Denmark Under-16s, a hat-trick against Southampton, and four more in 90 minutes against Crystal Palace and Fulham this season. His last five games have netted 16 goals for the young Gunners.
Obi-Martin gained mainstream fame in November for a greater achievement. He scored ten in a 14-3 win over Liverpool’s Under-16s. Was 15 at the time.
His form has earned him training with Mikel Arteta’s senior squad. As the next Hale End academy product, Obi-Martin is ready to follow Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah, and Emile Smith Rowe in committing to the club.
“I want to stay at Arsenal for a long time,” he told bold.DK. “This is a good club, and I’m improving in training.
