The Los Angeles Lakers traveled to Tennessee to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday evening.
Despite a close contest, the Lakers emerged victorious by a score of 123-120.
In 41 minutes of play, four-time NBA Champion LeBron James led the way with 37 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals on 13/20 shooting from the field and 3/7 shooting from three-point range.
James also made sensational NBA history during the contest by surpassing Kobe Bryant, an NBA Hall of Famer (8,378), to take third place on the all-time free throws list.
James will then proceed to pass on Hall of Famer Moses Malone (8,531), subsequent to Bryant.

James is amidst another outstanding campaign, averaging 25.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per contest in 70 games while shooting 54.0% from the field and 41.3% from three-point range.
With 81 games played, the Lakers are ranked eighth in the Western Conference with a 46-35 record.
Presently, they are 7–3 in their previous ten contests and will travel to face the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday.
With a decline to 27-54 in 81 games, the Memphis Grizzlies are currently positioned as the thirteenth seed in the Western Conference.
In addition to its current four-game losing streak, their record in their previous ten contests is 3-7.
The Memphis Grizzlies are ineligible for the NBA playoffs in 2024.
